Airport Manager – BGY

About the role

The Airport Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the Dubai station, ensuring safety, security, on‑time performance and cost‑effective workflow in line with Air Arabia policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves building strong relationships with civil aviation authorities, government bodies and ground handling agents.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for all operational and security matters, coordinating with Flight Operations, MCC and Regional Ground Operations.
• Monitor and resolve flight delays, AOG situations, emergencies and service disruptions.
• Maintain and communicate up‑to‑date policies, procedures, manuals and rates to relevant teams.
• Manage relationships with GHAs, GSAs, suppliers and vendors, overseeing service level agreements and financial performance.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive performance reports, including flight handling, disruption, incident and customer complaint reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Statistics, Finance, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of aviation or ground handling experience, including at least 3 years as an Airport/Station Manager.
• Strong knowledge of IATA, civil aviation authority regulations and low‑cost airline operations.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, SLAs and P&L responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic optional.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Passenger Handling System and Departure Control System (DCS).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite, Internet and web search tools.
• Training in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, Passenger Handling and Ground Operations Procedures.
