Ambulance Driver – Immediate Start

About the role

ART Ambulance Services, a DCAS-licensed private ambulance operator based in Dubai and part of the Belgian Ambuce Rescue Team group, is looking for an experienced Ambulance Driver to join immediately. You will drive ambulances safely across Dubai and the wider UAE alongside EMTs and paramedics, covering patient transfers, medical standby at events and cover at corporate and remote sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive ambulances safely and defensively in line with DCAS, RTA and UAE traffic regulations, following dispatch instructions and reaching pick-up, drop-off and standby locations on time.
• Help the clinical crew load, secure and unload patients on stretchers and carry chairs and wheelchairs.
• Carry out start- and end-of-shift checks of the vehicle, equipment and oxygen, and report defects immediately.
• Keep the ambulance clean, stocked, fuelled and decontaminated according to infection control procedures.
• Stay with the crew on standby at events and remote sites, ready to respond and transport when needed.
• Complete trip sheets, mileage logs and handover documents accurately, and treat patients, families and clients with courtesy and respect for confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, proved by formal experience letters from previous employers.
• Valid UAE driving licence held for at least 2 years, with a clean record and no accidents.
• Currently in the UAE on a cancelled visa or visit visa, available to join immediately.
• Good spoken English and able to complete documentation in English.
• Fully available for rotating day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays, including standby shifts.
• Physically fit to lift and carry patients and equipment with a crew partner, with a clean, professional appearance and calm, courteous attitude.
• Preferred: previous ambulance or emergency vehicle driving experience in the UAE or GCC, valid BLS certificate, defensive driving or EVOC course, good knowledge of roads, hospitals and clinics in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates, and additional languages such as Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Tagalog or Russian.
