Android Developer (Java)

About the role

ADGT is seeking an Android Engineer to develop and maintain native Android applications that directly interact with payment hardware. The position focuses on building robust, end‑to‑end payment flows by connecting mobile software with POS devices and backend services, ensuring a seamless user experience for payment transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Java, following best practices for performance and security.
• Integrate payment device SDKs and POS hardware into the mobile application, handling device communication and error management.
• Consume, integrate, and troubleshoot backend APIs to support complete payment transaction cycles.
• Configure, optimize, and maintain Gradle build pipelines, managing dependencies and release processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Android development with a strong command of Java and the Android SDK.
• Hands‑on experience with Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Familiarity with integrating hardware or device SDKs is a plus, demonstrating ability to work close to the metal.
