Anesthesia Technician

About the role

The Anesthesia Technician will support anesthesiologists in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital. This role involves assisting with patient assessment, procedural sedation, monitoring, and recovery, as well as maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists during patient assessment, sedation, anesthesia procedures, and recovery.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure safety.
• Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and delivery systems.
• Sterilize, disinfect, package, and prepare anesthesia supplies and consumables.
• Manage anesthesia inventory, track equipment, monitor supply stock and medication expiry.
• Support routine and emergency anesthesia interventions as required.

Required profile

• Completion of an Anesthesia Technician Program (minimum two‑year course).
• At least 2 years of post‑qualification experience in a related field.
• UAE license as Anesthesia Technician or eligibility to obtain one.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of current best practices in anesthesia.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
