Apartment Concierge

About the role

Fairmont Dubai, a luxury hotel in the business heart of the city, is looking for an Apartments Concierge. The role reports to the Leasing & Apartment Manager and gives guests a warm welcome on arrival, with a professional knowledge of the hotel and the property. Candidates are asked to complete a questionnaire via the partner AssessFirst shortly after applying.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome every guest entering the apartments and attend to guests leaving, offering assistance
• Open doors for incoming and outgoing guests and give directions to retrieve a valet-parked car
• Report suspicious people or behaviour to security and arrange taxis for guests who need them
• Provide an excellent first impression of the hotel and attend the shift briefing
• Follow the Fairmont Code of Ethics and Occupational Health and Safety regulations
• Work with the bell persons on apartment numbers and help housekeeping keep the driveway clean
• Perform other duties requested by management

Required profile

• Eligible to live and work in the UAE; the employer assists with the visa process and provides flights and accommodation
• Physically fit to lift and move luggage, with frequent standing, walking, kneeling and occasional use of stairs and ramps
• Good knowledge of the hotel and Dubai, and current events
• Guest-oriented, flexible on working hours and with a high standard of personal presentation
• Previous experience is an asset but not required

Required skills

• Good verbal and written English is essential; a second language is an asset
