Application Developer (.NET, Angular, Blazor)

About the role

Cigna is hiring an Application Developer in Dubai to build and implement software applications, software components and unit tests. The developer collaborates with teams to set specifications, write high-quality code, run tests and troubleshoot applications. The role involves working with all departments within the organization and its service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement software applications, components and unit tests, and implement new features based on business requirements.
• Work closely with other developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts and the QA team.
• Maintain quality and scalable software products and their documentation.
• Test software for responsiveness and efficiency, gather and evaluate user feedback, and troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
• Assist in enhancing existing components and adding new features.
• Provide timely updates to the Technical Team Lead and Software Development Manager, and regularly handle support tickets from the Business Team.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science or Data Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and excellent time management, able to meet multiple deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external service providers.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of .NET 6, Angular, jQuery and Blazor.
• Good command of C# and PL/SQL is mandatory.
• Familiarity with SQL Developer, Toad and SQL Server Management Studio is preferred.
