Application Engineer – Mechanical Engineering & Composites

About the role

The Application Engineer provides technical bid support to Sales and Proposals, ensuring NOV's fiberglass piping products meet design, performance and code requirements. The role bridges engineering, operations and commercial teams to deliver compliant and feasible solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and technical outputs to guarantee safe and specified product application.
• Support Sales and Proposals with technical issue resolution and preparation of tender packages.
• Drive efficiency initiatives to reduce lead times and improve deliverable quality.
• Provide expert guidance on codes, standards, product selection and perform engineering calculations such as hydraulic analysis and stress verification.
• Deliver technical training to employees, distributors and customers, and visit project sites to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience on international projects, preferably with composites or fiberglass piping systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic analysis, pipe stress analysis and related standards.
• Experience in technical bid/proposal support and working with manufacturing and QC teams.
