Arabic‑Speaking Financial Controller – Middle East

About the role

We are seeking an Arabic‑speaking Financial Controller to lead financial control for our client’s Middle East entities, covering Dubai and Saudi Arabia. This senior, hands‑on position blends technical rigour with business partnering to deliver reliable financial information to management.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end monthly close, ensuring P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting by day six.
• Partner with operational teams on project flow, expenses, purchase orders and invoicing to guarantee completeness.
• Monitor project and campaign profitability, ensuring all billable work is invoiced.
• Conduct balance‑sheet reviews, reconciliations and provide monthly cash‑flow visibility.
• Manage invoice approval tracker, applying delegation of authority and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate audits for UAE and KSA entities and oversee external accounting and tax providers.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT & Corporate Tax, and KSA VAT, withholding tax, Zakat and CIT.
• Lead and develop two direct reports and manage external service providers.

Required profile

• Fluent Arabic (preference) and qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in financial control or senior finance roles.
• Proven experience working in the UAE and/or Saudi Arabia.
• Hands‑on experience managing external audit processes.
• Strong background in fast‑paced, international environments.
• Deep understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and KSA tax/Zakat requirements.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, KSA VAT, withholding tax, Zakat and CIT.
