Architectural Inspector

About the role

The Architectural Inspector will ensure that all architectural works are executed in compliance with contract documents, drawings, codes and specifications. Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, the role involves daily coordination with multiple teams to verify quality, quantity and progress of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify that architectural engineering aspects follow the approved inspection plan, drawings, codes and specifications.
• Liaise with senior architectural engineers, other engineers and managers to provide support and guidance.
• Review contractor documents and shop drawings, flagging issues that could affect stability or function of architectural components.
• Ensure contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan and project inspection protocols.
• Provide regular progress reports on architectural aspects and maintain full site records, including daily diaries and monthly progress photography.
• Expedite approvals, NOCs and client sign‑offs to avoid project delays.
• Conduct site inspections and tests to confirm quality of finishes, building components and architectural installations.

Required profile

• Experience in monitoring architectural works on construction sites.
• Ability to coordinate daily with multidisciplinary teams and senior engineers.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing drawings, variations and quality control documents.
• Capability to produce accurate progress reports and maintain comprehensive site records.

Required skills

• Understanding of architectural codes, specifications and inspection plans.
• Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings and contractor documentation.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures for architectural installations.
