Architectural Inspector

About the role

The Architectural Inspector will ensure that all architectural engineering aspects of projects are executed in line with inspection plans, drawings, codes and specifications. Working closely with senior engineers and project managers, the role supports quality, safety and timely delivery of architectural components.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify that architectural works follow approved inspection plans, drawings, codes and specifications.
• Liaise with senior architectural engineers, other engineers and managers to provide guidance and support.
• Review and manage variations to mitigate time and cost impacts.
• Check contractor shop drawings and documents for issues affecting stability or function.
• Ensure contractor compliance with the approved Quality Control Plan and safety protocols.
• Prepare progress reports on architectural aspects and maintain full site records, including daily diaries and monthly photography.
• Expedite NOCs and client approvals when delays are identified.
• Conduct site inspections, material checks, and issue NCRs with corrective actions.
• Verify that all inspection reports are accurate and meet required standards.

Required profile

• Experience in architectural inspection and quality control on construction sites.
• Familiarity with architectural codes, specifications, and shop drawing review processes.
• Ability to produce detailed progress reports and maintain comprehensive site documentation.
• Strong coordination skills to liaise with contractors, authorities and internal project teams.
• Understanding of safety requirements related to architectural installations.
