Area Maintenance Representative GCC (EASA B1)

About the role

Cargolux is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Representative holding an EASA B1 licence to support line maintenance activities across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Based in Dubai, the role acts as a technical liaison between Cargolux, contracted maintenance providers, airports and other operational stakeholders, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, reliability and service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and support for line maintenance activities throughout the GCC region.
• Monitor the performance and compliance of contracted maintenance providers.
• Ensure maintenance follows EASA Part-145 requirements, company procedures and regulatory standards.
• Support aircraft on ground (AOG) situations, technical disruptions and defect troubleshooting.
• Conduct station visits, audits, assessments and quality inspections as required.
• Act as the focal point for maintenance-related operational issues and coordinate solutions internally and externally.
• Monitor deferred and repetitive defects and technical reliability trends, and support investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate tooling, equipment and material requirements within the region.
• Assist with aircraft recoveries, inductions and operational events, and help train and assess maintenance providers.

Required profile

• Valid EASA Part-66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
• Minimum 5 years of line maintenance experience on large transport aircraft (Boeing).
• Type ratings on B747-400 and B747-8 are preferred.
• Experience with contracted maintenance providers and outstation support.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part-145 and continuing airworthiness requirements.
• Excellent troubleshooting and decision-making skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the GCC region; a certificate of good conduct is required.
• Flexibility for shift, night and public holiday work, and frequent travel.
• Fluent in English.
