Assistant Category Manager – Own Brands (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Category Manager will support the growth and execution of Al Futtaim Retail’s Own Brands and Exclusive Brands strategy for Watsons in the UAE. The role focuses on driving sales, profitability and brand awareness across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and execution of annual brand plans for Own and Exclusive Brands.
• Drive sales, margin and profitability through assortment, pricing and promotional strategies.
• Monitor brand performance, conduct sales analysis and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to launch products and brand activations.
• Assist with forecasting, inventory planning and stock management.
• Develop initiatives to increase brand participation across markets and channels.
• Partner with Marketing and E‑commerce to execute integrated campaigns and in‑store activations.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking, trend analysis and market research.
• Coordinate cross‑functional execution with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Retail Management or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Brand Management, Category Management, Marketing or Retail.
• Experience in beauty, skincare, FMCG or health & wellness preferred.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
