Assistant Director of Admissions

About the role

NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions to support its enrollment goals. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the role will help attract, engage and enroll a diverse cohort of undergraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to recruit a diverse pool of qualified undergraduate applicants globally and within the UAE.
• Represent NYUAD at college fairs, high schools, community events and conferences, and build relationships with counselors and partner organizations.
• Guide prospective students and families through the application process, including post‑offer support and yield events.
• Review undergraduate applications using contextual review and admissions criteria, and follow up on incomplete files.
• Organise and host on‑campus events such as school visits, workshops, information sessions and campus tours.
• Respond to student inquiries via email, phone and in‑person meetings, and contribute to admissions projects and data‑driven initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in higher‑education recruitment, admissions or related student‑facing roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage students, families, counselors and external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a data‑informed environment and manage multiple priorities.
