Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Director of Finance to join Raffles Dubai, a 5‑star luxury hotel. The role supports the Cluster Director of Finance in overseeing all financial aspects of the hotel’s operations and ensures compliance with local and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cluster Director of Finance in preparing the annual budget, FF&E budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Produce accurate financial and management reports for hotel management, corporate office and owners in line with reporting requirements.
• Analyse financial data, interpret variations and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor cash flow, approve cash disbursements, rebates, adjustments and allowances according to policy.
• Verify accruals, journal entries and maintain reconciliations for all balance‑sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with all volumes of the Policy & Procedure.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of local, state and federal tax returns and other statutory reports.
• Protect the interests of owners and the management company in hotel assets and operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting and budgeting within a hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyse financial data and present meaningful insights.
