Assistant Electrician

About the role

EFS UAE in the Facilities Services industry is hiring an Assistant Electrician in Dubai. You will support the maintenance and repair of electrical systems alongside experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in electrical systems maintenance. The role suits candidates with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems under the guidance of senior electricians.
• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Handle basic electrical tasks such as wiring, circuit testing and equipment installation.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and techniques.
• Support the calibration and adjustment of electrical systems to optimise performance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and repairs conducted.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritise tasks and complete assignments efficiently.
• Assist in electrical assessments and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Keep tools and equipment properly handled, maintained and stored.
• Support equipment testing and commissioning, and assist in training new team members.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Valid electrician licence issued by the relevant authority.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
