Assistant Laundry Manager

About the role

The Assistant Laundry Manager supports the housekeeping and laundry teams at a Marriott hotel in Fujairah. Reporting to housekeeping management, you will help ensure rooms and public areas meet the brand’s quality standards while coordinating with engineering, front office and laundry departments.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and pool areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
• Run sold‑room reports, verify room status, identify discrepancies and prioritize cleaning tasks.
• Update room status for departing guests and communicate changes to the next shift.
• Act as liaison between housekeeping, engineering, front office and laundry to resolve issues.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Complete required paperwork, safety training and follow all company policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lb unaided and heavier loads with assistance.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and operate housekeeping equipment on uneven surfaces.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
