Assistant Manager Accounting & Compliance

About the role

The Investment & Development Office of Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an Assistant Manager – Accounting & Compliance to lead accurate financial reporting, maintain accounting policies, and support the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year‑end standalone and consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS, IDO policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain, review and update the Accounting Policy and Procedure Manual, ensuring alignment with IFRS, IPSAS and local regulations and promoting standardisation across entities.
• Identify, evaluate and implement process improvements and automation using AI‑powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude AI.
• Provide expert IFRS guidance to group entities, design and deliver IFRS training programmes for finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
• Actively participate in the Oracle Cloud ERP implementation, supporting requirement gathering, process mapping, testing, data migration and post‑implementation optimisation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to group entities on accounting, compliance and internal control matters.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (CA, ACCA or CPA) from a recognised professional body.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a techno‑functional finance role, including exposure to ERP implementations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IPSAS and UAE statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills to advise and train both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
