About the role
The Assistant Manager will oversee trade validation, settlement, custody processing and related operational controls within the Investment Operations team. You will collaborate with Treasury Front Office, Finance, Market Risk and external custodians to minimise operational and financial risk.
Key responsibilities
- Validate investment deals against authorised trade records, approvals and supporting documentation.
- Process and monitor proprietary and customer investment transactions via treasury, core‑banking and SWIFT platforms.
- Ensure timely settlement of bonds, sukuk, equities, repos, certificates of deposit and other approved products.
- Monitor delivery‑versus‑payment (DVP) and free‑of‑payment transactions, escalating non‑DVP issues.
- Investigate and resolve unmatched or failed settlements with custodians and counterparties.
Required skills
- Experience with SWIFT messaging and settlement platforms.
- Proficiency in core‑banking and custody processing systems.
