Assistant Manager – Facilities

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Facilities will oversee inspection, repair and preventive maintenance of kitchen, laundry and restaurant equipment, as well as general facilities and MEP systems at Atlantis The Royal. The role ensures all assets operate safely, reliably and efficiently, supporting uninterrupted hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the facilities maintenance team, managing resources to complete work orders safely and on schedule.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs of kitchen, laundry, restaurant and MEP equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues and minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer recommendations, health‑and‑safety standards, HACCP and local regulations.
• Escalate technical, safety or operational issues to senior management with clear recommendations.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring inspections, testing and calibration are up to date.
• Develop and deliver technical training programs for the facilities team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of facilities maintenance experience in a hospitality environment or equivalent education and practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements, including PPE use and risk assessments.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage work orders and coordinate with other departments.
