Assistant Manager, Finance & Operations

About the role

A UAE-based business, associated with one of India's leading business houses and active in investment and consumer/e-commerce activities, is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented finance and operations professional in Dubai. The role covers accounting, compliance coordination, banking operations, internal reporting and some business operations tasks, and suits a Chartered Accountant or finance professional with strong grounding in Indian and UAE accounting practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of account, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations and monthly closing, and coordinate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors
• Prepare MIS, financial summaries and budgets, track expenses and cash flow, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements
• Manage routine banking, payments and transfers, coordinate account openings and KYC updates, and track payment status
• Coordinate with external PROs, legal advisors and company formation agents on renewals, licenses, shareholder/board documentation and UBO/KYC submissions
• Support deal flow by gathering partner details, preparing summaries and following up on action points
• Support e-commerce and consumer business operations such as product listings, order tracking and vendor follow-ups

Required profile

• Non-CA preferred; strong accounting qualifications and relevant UAE experience considered
• Preferably trained in India, with practical understanding of both Indian and UAE finance and compliance environments
• 4-8 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, compliance coordination or business operations
• Prior UAE experience strongly preferred
• Good understanding of UAE banking processes, VAT and compliance basics, and entity-level documentation
• Strong command of written and spoken English

Required skills

• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Familiarity with accounting systems and basic operational tools preferred
