Assistant Manager – Learning & Development (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

Mashreq Bank is looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to join its People & Intellectual Capital Group. The role focuses on designing, delivering and governing learning initiatives that boost employee capability across the bank. It offers a chance to work with learning technology, data analytics and impactful development programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and related platforms to ensure smooth delivery of learning services.
• Coordinate and oversee workshops, training programmes and development initiatives throughout the organisation.
• Handle learning nominations, registrations, course assignments, assessments and post‑training surveys.
• Track, analyse and report learning metrics and training effectiveness using Excel and Power BI.
• Publish and maintain the annual learning catalogue and training calendar.
• Support the design, delivery and facilitation of behavioural and professional development programmes.
• Manage employee induction programmes to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify capability gaps and conduct learning needs analysis.
• Maintain relationships with external training providers and ensure quality delivery.
• Assist with compliance, audit, regulatory reporting and learning governance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development or HR, preferably in a large banking or financial services organisation.
• Hands‑on experience administering LMS and HR learning platforms.
• Strong analytical ability with proven experience in data analysis and reporting.
