Assistant Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Retail Operations will support the day‑to‑day management of Zero 6 Mall and the retail outlets located within Alef Group’s residential communities in Sharjah. The role focuses on maintaining high operational standards, strong tenant relations, and an excellent shopping experience for visitors and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Zero 6 Mall and associated retail outlets, ensuring smooth functioning and compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, retail spaces and facilities, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mall and retail operations.
• Act as primary point of contact for tenants, managing onboarding, fit‑out approvals, shop opening procedures, lease compliance and addressing complaints.
• Coordinate with facilities management and external vendors (security, cleaning, MEP, landscaping) to maintain service quality and monitor performance against SLAs.
• Support marketing and events teams in executing promotions, community activations and seasonal campaigns to enhance customer experience.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring operating budgets, service‑charge reconciliation, vendor payments and cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Sharjah Municipality, Civil Defense, RERA and other UAE regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records of contracts and insurance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing mall operations and retail outlets within mixed‑use or residential communities.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, quality standards and regulatory requirements in the UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to handle tenant relations, onboarding, lease compliance and issue resolution.
• Experience coordinating facilities services and external vendors to meet service standards.
• Ability to support financial management tasks such as budgeting, service‑charge reconciliation and cost control.
