Assistant Manager – SAM Litigation

About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our SAM Litigation team, ensuring timely filing of criminal, repo, civil and SOM cases across all Emirates. The role focuses on maximizing recoveries for the bank while minimizing losses, and coordinating closely with lawyers, police, courts and government entities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the litigation team to achieve monthly case filing targets.
- Ensure criminal, repo, civil and SOM cases are filed in the correct jurisdiction.
- Maintain unit strategies in daily activities and conduct monthly cheque reconciliations.
- Follow up with lawyers to guarantee prompt filing of police cases in all Emirates.
- Maintain strong relationships with police officers, courts and government bodies.
- Oversee payment collections from police stations and courts and release cases upon receipt.
- Maintain comprehensive records of filed and released cases for future reference.
- Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports and MIS for the area of responsibility.
- Manage correspondence with DEWAN, CPC office and ensure timely implementation of proposals.
- Ensure strict compliance with DIB policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma.
- 4–6 years of experience in litigation, legal recovery or a similar banking environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team and meet performance targets.
- Excellent coordination with external authorities and internal stakeholders.
