Assistant Manager, Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Warehouse Operations will ensure that Nestlé's warehouse functions comply with legal, safety, quality, hygiene and environmental standards while delivering materials on time and at the right quality. You will lead a warehouse team, optimise resources and support production continuity across Nestlé Middle East Manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Verify inbound and outbound materials against Quality, Food Safety and SHE policies.
• Inspect trucks for hygiene, safety and legal compliance before loading or off‑loading.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of at least 99.8% through effective stock control and cycle counts.
• Coordinate with QA to ensure timely material release and optimise asset intensity.
• Drive compliance with GMP, HACCP, food‑safety standards and internal audit requirements, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Implement and audit 5S and Nestlé Good Warehousing Practices daily.
• Manage third‑party warehouse usage, monitor cost per pallet and conduct regular audits.
• Keep team certifications and licences up to date and ensure risk assessments are current.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety regulations, GMP and HACCP.
• Leadership ability to develop and motivate a warehouse team.
• Excellent understanding of safety, hygiene and environmental compliance.
• Ability to work with third‑party logistics providers and manage cost‑effectiveness.
