Assistant Procurement Officer

About the role

SLM Interiors, a reputable interior decoration and fit‑out company in Dubai, is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Procurement Officer to support procurement activities for interior fit‑out projects. The role involves sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source, negotiate and purchase fit‑out materials such as joinery, MEP items, finishes, furniture and other project requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with UAE‑based suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with project schedules and budgets.
• Review supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and payment terms to achieve cost‑effective procurement.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams and design departments to identify material and equipment needs.
• Track deliveries, ensure timely supply to project sites and resolve procurement‑related issues.
• Maintain updated supplier databases, pricing records and procurement history.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project specifications.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of procurement experience in interior decoration, fit‑out or construction.
• Strong knowledge of fit‑out materials, finishes and UAE‑based suppliers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).
• Valid UAE driving licence (advantage).
• Immediate availability (preferred).
