About the role
The Department of Finance at the American University of Sharjah invites applications for a full‑time Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2027. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate finance courses and contributing to research and service activities.
Key responsibilities
- Teach finance courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Develop and maintain an active research agenda, aiming for publications in top‑tier finance journals.
- Participate in departmental service, including curriculum development and student mentorship.
Required profile
- PhD in Finance (or expected completion before August 2027) from an AACSB‑accredited university, preferably in North America.
- Demonstrated research potential with working papers targeting top finance journals.
- Ability to teach a broad range of finance subjects, with a preference for asset pricing, investments, and financial markets.
Required skills
- Strong quantitative abilities.
