Assistant Professor of Management (Strategy, Entrepreneurship and HR)

About the role

The Department of Management, Strategy and Entrepreneurship (MS&E) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) is recruiting full-time Assistant Professors. Candidates are sought with strong research and teaching potential in one or more of three tracks: organizational behaviour and human resource management, entrepreneurship and innovation management, or strategy and corporate governance. Teaching is expected across the curriculum at undergraduate and graduate (MBA and PhD) levels.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the department's research, teaching and service.
• Teach courses in the chosen track(s) at undergraduate and graduate level.
• Produce research with promising working papers, ideally on track for publication in top-tier management journals.

Required profile

• PhD in Management from an AACSB-accredited university; an ABD near completion will be considered.
• Great research potential, with existing publications in top-tier management journals a plus.
• Willingness and ability to teach across the curriculum at undergraduate and graduate level.

Track priorities

• Organizational behaviour and HR: management and leadership development, group dynamics, conflict management, and emerging areas such as AI and the future of work.
• Entrepreneurship and innovation: social entrepreneurship, innovation management, project management, and emerging areas such as AI strategy and digital transformation.
• Strategy and corporate governance: global strategy, international business, executive compensation, boards of directors, and emerging areas such as AI governance and responsible AI.
