Assistant Project Surveyor - Measurement

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Assistant Project Surveyor – Measurement to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role you will support senior quantity surveyors by preparing accurate measurements, cost estimates and documentation for construction projects, ensuring profitability and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Measure quantities for inclusion in cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and develop cost estimates.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring cost‑control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in preparation, pricing and negotiation of change orders with clients and contractors.
• Analyse tender returns and conduct market testing to support rate benchmarking.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for project reporting and decision‑making.
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn within a structured training environment.
• Use quantity surveying software, BIM and other digital tools effectively.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a measurement centre or estimating department.
• Working towards or holding a BSc in Quantity Surveying and/or Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Higher National Diplomas or equivalent will also be considered.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quantity surveying software.
• Experience using BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools.
