Assistant Reception Manager

About the role

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking an Assistant Reception Manager to support the front‑of‑house operations of its award‑winning dining concepts, SUSHISAMBA and Signor Sassi. The role combines guest‑service excellence with operational oversight in a high‑volume, luxury restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Reception Manager in leading the Reception, Hostess and Reservations team, maintaining high service standards.
• Manage daily reservations, table allocation, wait‑lists and seating strategies to maximise covers and revenue.
• Develop and nurture relationships with VIP guests and regular clientele, handling preferences and special requests professionally.
• Coordinate with Restaurant Management and Operations to ensure smooth service flow, especially during peak periods.
• Address guest feedback and complaints, executing effective service recovery.
• Coach, train and mentor the reception team while upholding grooming and presentation standards.
• Support scheduling, shift allocation, reservation reporting and guest database management.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in luxury restaurants, fine‑dining or premium lifestyle concepts, preferably as an Assistant Reception Manager, Head Hostess or Reception Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of SevenRooms or a comparable reservation system, including table management and guest profiling.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume operations, VIP guests and multicultural teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and service‑recovery skills with solid commercial awareness.
• Positive, energetic, guest‑focused attitude and high grooming standards.
• Fluent English; additional languages such as Italian, Russian, French or Spanish are a plus.
