Assistant Recreation Manager

About the role

The Assistant Recreation Manager supports the recreation department in delivering engaging activities for hotel guests. This role involves planning schedules, managing supplies, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for all participants.

Key responsibilities

• Create and publish recreational activity agendas and promotional materials using publishing software.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials, notifying management of low stock.
• Recruit, register, and schedule guests for a variety of recreation activities.
• Monitor activities, enforce safety rules, and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Assist in training, motivating, and coaching recreation staff while serving as a role model.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related recreation experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with publishing software for creating activity agendas.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale systems for transactions.
