Assistant Recreation Manager

About the role

The Assistant Recreation Manager supports the recreation team in delivering engaging activities for hotel guests. This position combines guest interaction, inventory oversight, and safety responsibilities to ensure a vibrant and secure leisure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create activity agendas and promotional materials using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, equipment and report low‑stock items to the manager.
• Recruit, register and schedule guests for a variety of recreation programs.
• Promote facility rules, monitor activities and respond to emergencies according to procedures.
• Provide first‑aid assistance to injured guests until emergency services arrive.
• Assist management in training, motivating and coaching recreation staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all recreational equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related recreation or hospitality experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications; any additional local certifications as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with publishing software for creating schedules and advertisements.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale or similar computer systems for transactions and inventory tracking.
