Assistant Resident Engineer – Civil Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer in supervising civil infrastructure works in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and act on behalf of the Resident Engineer in day‑to‑day supervision of civil infrastructure works.
• Coordinate activities with engineers, construction supervision teams, contractors, and service authorities.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, method statements, material submittals and draft responses for Resident Engineer review.
• Monitor contractor schedules, resource deployment, progress measurement and reporting.
• Direct inspectors/surveyors, maintain daily diaries, and ensure complete records.
• Support preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports, as‑built records and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design, site supervision and construction management of roads, bridges and related infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing supervision activities on large‑scale projects in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong knowledge of contractual relationships and documentation control.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and project management systems.
• Ability to review and justify material submissions, technical and laboratory reports.
• Knowledge of QA specifications and statistical quality control practices.
