Assistant Resident Engineer – Site

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on construction sites in Abu Dhabi. This early‑career position offers the chance to develop technical expertise while contributing to large‑scale infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections, document findings, and perform quality checks.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress logs, photographic records, and other site documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve site‑related issues.
• Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in project scheduling, progress tracking, and identification of potential delays or risks.
• Maintain organized records of material deliveries, equipment usage, and site activities.

Required profile

• Early‑career engineer with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in interpreting and analysing technical drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
