Assistant Resident Engineer – Site

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on a high‑rise building project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supervising daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities, including enabling works and structural works, against approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections to track quality, progress, safety and compliance, and prepare inspection records and progress reports.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, method statements and construction methodologies for shoring, dewatering, waterproofing, PT slabs and façade works.
• Coordinate activities among contractors, subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams, and manage handover documentation.
• Assist with project scheduling, risk identification and resolution of technical and site issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Substantial experience supervising mid‑rise to high‑rise building projects, with strong knowledge of structural and enabling works.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple site activities concurrently.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and construction coordination.
• UAE/GCC project experience and relevant professional certifications are a plus.
