Assistant Restaurant Manager – Blue Door

About the role

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at Blue Door, Delano Dubai, you will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering a relaxed yet vibrant dining experience. You will be highly visible on the floor, leading the team during service and ensuring every guest enjoys the distinctive atmosphere of the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations and maintain consistently high service standards.
• Lead shifts and oversee the restaurant in the manager’s absence.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, ensuring smooth service flow and personalised guest engagement.
• Motivate, coach and develop the team, fostering a positive working environment.
• Conduct daily briefings covering reservations, VIPs, menu updates and service priorities.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Bar teams to ensure seamless service and consistency.
• Drive revenue through table optimisation, upselling and commercial awareness.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery confidently.
• Support staffing, scheduling, inventory and cost control.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and operational standards are consistently maintained.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within a luxury hotel, lifestyle property or upscale restaurant.
• Strong à‑la‑carte restaurant experience with excellent floor and service knowledge.
• Confident leader with strong coaching and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness, including revenue, average spend, upselling and cost control.
• Passion for food & beverage and genuine hospitality mindset.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Warm, personable and confident in building relationships with guests.
