Assistant Sales Manager – Events

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager (Events) supports the Sales & Marketing team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, handling guest inquiries, reservations, and sales activities to maximize revenue and maintain guest loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Contact appropriate departments (Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
• Use sales techniques, including up‑selling and promoting Marriott Rewards, to maximize revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.
• Determine and provide complimentary gifts such as rewards points, show tickets, or gift certificates to guests.
• Process reservation requests, changes, cancellations, and redeeming of Marriott Rewards points received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information into the reservation system and maintain accurate guest records.
• Perform general office duties supporting Sales & Marketing, including filing, emailing, typing, and faxing.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and ensure a professional appearance.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and support them to reach common goals.
• Monitor performance of others to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Read and verify information in various formats and handle objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least two years of relevant work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
