Assistant Technician

About the role

The Assistant Technician will support the operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance of HVAC systems within cleanrooms and production facilities. This role works closely with supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure reliable environmental control in a GMP‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and operation of HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), exhaust systems, and chilled water loops.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including routine inspections and repairs.
• Monitor HVAC parameters, report abnormalities, and help resolve issues.
• Participate in filter replacement, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting tasks.
• Help maintain cleanroom environmental compliance and adhere to GMP requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance teams during shutdowns and scheduled maintenance.
• Follow all safety and pharmaceutical GMP procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC.
• 1–3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or cleanroom facilities is preferred.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and related tools.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts if required.

Required skills

• HVAC system knowledge (AHU, FCU, exhaust, chilled water).
• Filter replacement and cleaning techniques.
• Basic troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Preventive maintenance practices.
