Assistant Vice President – Financial Crime Compliance

About the role
Ensure Aldar meets its regulatory obligations and maintains a strong financial‑crime compliance culture. Support business units in achieving their goals while upholding the highest standards of compliance and risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Promote a robust compliance, AML and ethical conduct culture across the organisation and support continuous enhancement of the Financial Crime Compliance framework, systems and controls.
- Design, implement and maintain risk‑based monitoring programmes, FCC controls and regulatory documentation, and evaluate digital, AI and automation initiatives to improve processes.
- Identify, investigate and report AML, sanctions, ethics and anti‑bribery breaches; conduct risk assessments, prepare periodic compliance reports and support regulatory inspections and audits.
- Act as the second line of defence, providing guidance to internal stakeholders, regulators and auditors, and driving continuous improvement of compliance processes and technology‑enabled solutions.
Required profile
- Bilingual in English and Arabic (verbal and written).
- Strong ethics, risk‑management and compliance mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical, critical thinking and advanced presentation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Law.
