Assistant/Associate Professor – Computer Science & AI

About the role

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is seeking experienced academics to join its School of Engineering, Applied Science, and Technology as Assistant or Associate Professors in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, supervising projects and research, and contributing to the university’s innovation‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach across five thematic areas: Foundations of CS & AI, Operating Systems & Algorithms, Computer Vision, Applied AI & Emerging Technologies, and Professional Practice & Research.
• Develop curricula, design assessment tools, and supervise undergraduate graduation projects.
• Lead graduate (MSc/PhD) supervision for Associate Professors.
• Conduct research in AI applications such as computer vision, healthcare, digital twins, education, or cybersecurity.
• Engage with industry partners and support ABET accreditation processes.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field with an AI focus.
• Strong record of teaching, research, and industry collaboration.
• Minimum 2 years (Assistant) or 5 years (Associate) of teaching experience at a top‑ranked QS university.
• Familiarity with ABET accreditation is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in software development processes, design, and architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with web/mobile frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, or Angular.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., IBM AI Engineering, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals).
