Assistant/Associate Professor in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology

About the role

Gulf Medical University seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor to join the Department of Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and community engagement within the College of Health Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars, practical sessions and clinical tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Design and implement transparent, outcome‑aligned assessment methods.
• Develop and continuously update curricula, syllabi and learning materials in line with international best practices.
• Participate in faculty development activities and uphold academic ethics.
• Serve on academic committees, coordinate programme activities and provide academic advising.
• Support quality assurance, accreditation processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage with healthcare providers and community organisations for outreach projects and awareness programmes.
• Supervise student research and clinical placements; publish and present scholarly work.

Required profile

• PhD in Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Demonstrated high‑quality teaching experience at the university level.
• Active research record with international publications.
• Preferably recognised clinical expertise, fellowships or specialised certifications.
