Assistant/Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology

About the role

The university seeks a qualified academic to join its Clinical Psychology department. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and student supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology and related fields.
• Develop and update course materials to meet international academic standards.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish regularly in Scopus‑indexed journals, preferably Q1/Q2.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and community service.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects and grant applications.
• Contribute to departmental, college, and university committees.

Required profile

• PhD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, based on experience.
• Strong record of scholarly publications in Scopus‑indexed journals, with preference for Q1/Q2 outlets.
• Evidence of an active research agenda.
• University‑level teaching experience in Clinical Psychology.
• Experience supervising student research projects and theses.
• Professional clinical experience and relevant licensure are desirable.
• Ability to teach in both Arabic and English.
