Associate – Client Acceptance Team (Sharjah)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Associate to join its Client Acceptance Team in Sharjah. You will support KYC/AML compliance for new and existing clients and vendors, ensuring adherence to Deloitte’s global and local policies.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established KYC/AML processes, conduct due diligence and raise concerns to the quality risk representative.
• Perform AML risk assessments, identify red‑flag situations and escalate potential risks.
• Assist with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, including trigger events and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
• Communicate compliance analysis and findings to management and other business units.
• Engage with stakeholders across Deloitte offices to improve processes and foster a compliance culture.
• Manage the centralized KYC mailbox, responding to queries accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong proficiency in basic PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
• Previous experience in a similar KYC/AML or compliance role is preferred.
• Ability to think strategically, conduct extensive research and support multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
