Associate Controller (UAE)

About the role

A leading global technology company in Dubai is looking for an Associate Controller to support the CFO in financial management and control across the UAE. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure excellence in finance operations, compliance, and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shared services KPIs and ensure targets are met through effective collaboration.
• Manage project cash flow, forecast cash‑in and cash‑out, and optimise operational cash flow.
• Lead In‑Country Value (ICV) requirements and reduce Days Sales Outstanding on intercompany receivables.
• Support oversight of financial activities for UAE entities, including monthly balance‑sheet reviews.
• Assist in audit preparation and creation of financial statements for all UAE entities.
• Coordinate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing processes with relevant teams.
• Take over project controlling responsibilities for new business projects as the organisation grows.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience in financial controlling and/or reporting.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and understanding of audit procedures.
• Ability to synthesise complex financial data and present clear insights.
• Rigorous approach to meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and influencing abilities.
