Associate Data Engineer

About the role

As Associate Data Engineer you will design and build new data pipelines and create new ones for Al Tayer omni channel brands. You will ingest data from sources such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, Firebase, Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud and other internal and external sources, and maintain data integrity and quality, reporting it weekly or monthly. You will also prototype products including machine learning models and basic frontends and support their end-to-end development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement ETL data pipelines that extract, transform and load data into the data warehouse.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability and reliability to handle large volumes of data.
• Work with AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline and Amazon S3, and with API gateways.
• Use Tableau to build interactive dashboards and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot data issues, identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology.
• At least 4 years of experience.
• An open mindset and eagerness to learn and experiment with data.

Required skills

• Python and SQL.
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Streaming and batch processing of data.
• Cloud computing on GCP and AWS.
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Data Studio or Metabase.
• CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab.
• Basic understanding of ML concepts such as logistic regression, NLP and clustering; exposure to ML, NLP and LLMs is an added advantage.
