Associate Director - Civil Infrastructure Design

About the role

The Associate Director will lead and manage the design of civil infrastructure works across medium to large‑scale development projects in the Middle East, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely delivery of design packages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure design from master planning through IFC stage, coordinating with master planners, architects, engineers and other consultants.
• Review, monitor and manage design deliverables for roads, utilities (water, wastewater, power, ICT), structures, marine and public‑realm infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (MOMRAH, NWC, SEC, SWCC, Royal Commissions) and applicable international standards.
• Manage design schedules, risk, interface coordination and align progress with program and budget.
• Support permitting, approvals and coordination with local authorities, and embed sustainability, resilience and digital infrastructure goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in infrastructure design/design management, preferably on large‑scale projects in KSA.
• Chartered status or professionally recognised qualification.
• Strong leadership, communication and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Infrastructure design for roads, bridges, utility networks, pump stations and process plants.
• Experience with marine and public‑realm infrastructure.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and international standards.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage sub‑consultants.
