Associate Director, Corporate Origination & Business Development

About the role

The Associate Director – Corporate Origination and Business Development will lead the acquisition and onboarding of large corporate, government and public‑sector clients for Mashreq Bank. The role focuses on building relationships with companies generating annual revenues above AED 1 bn and delivering tailored banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, identify and onboard new corporate borrowing relationships in line with the bank’s growth strategy.
• Develop and execute proposition strategies, competition analysis, and targeted campaigns across products such as risk, payments, cash management and trade.
• Manage the full credit process from proposal preparation through approval, documentation and onboarding.
• Maintain a disciplined marketing process, track deal flows and prepare timely business reports.
• Collaborate with coverage, product and risk specialists to ensure compliance with credit, operational, financial‑crime and regulatory risk policies.
• Achieve targets for new‑to‑bank revenue, profitability, deposit growth and cross‑selling.
• Build a network of business introducers and manage referral partnerships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate banking or financial services with a focus on large‑corporate, government or public‑sector clients.
• Strong understanding of corporate banking products, risk policies, payment & cash management and trade finance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop value propositions, conduct competition analysis and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Experience managing end‑to‑end credit processes and meeting revenue and risk‑adjusted performance targets.
