Associate Director of Design (Luxury Hospitality)

About the role

Jumeirah Group & Corporate is seeking an Associate Director of Design to shape the visual and functional experience of its luxury hotel portfolio. You will work closely with the Design Director to translate brand vision into tangible projects across new builds, renovations, refurbishments and PIP initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Design Director to develop and execute design strategies aligned with Jumeirah’s brand standards.
• Lead design coordination for assigned hotel projects through concept, design development and construction phases.
• Oversee review and coordination of architecture, interior design, landscape, lighting, signage, FF&E, finishes, materials and space planning.
• Prepare and manage design documentation, briefs, scopes of work, presentations and monitor risks, budgets and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections, mock‑up reviews and construction follow‑ups to ensure design integrity and quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external consultants, artists and suppliers to deliver innovative, operationally effective solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (required); Master’s degree in Architecture or MBA (preferred).
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking and project management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Expertise in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
