Associate Director – Project Controls

About the role

Mace is seeking an Associate Director to lead PMO and Project Controls services across its Abu Dhabi operations. You will provide strategic guidance, line management and cross‑discipline support while championing safety, wellbeing and inclusive delivery on major construction programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the performance, strategy and governance of PMO and project controls across commissions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, consultants and project teams, overseeing cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting management.
• Mentor and resource high‑performing teams, driving best practice, service excellence and net‑zero outcomes.
• Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity and ensure alignment with KPIs and best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading PMO and Project Controls on large construction and consultancy projects.
• Proven ability to set up effective PMO frameworks, assurance strategies and governance structures.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., Association of Project Managers) and a relevant university degree.
