Associate Engineer - IT Support (UAE National)

About the role

The Associate Engineer - IT supports day-to-day IT operations, keeps systems stable and secure, and provides technical assistance to end users across the organization. It is a permanent position open to UAE nationals, based in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software and network issues, resolving problems by phone, email or in person
• Install, configure and maintain hardware and software components
• Assist with network setup, basic configurations and connectivity issues
• Perform routine system maintenance and software updates
• Manage user accounts, permissions and Active Directory tasks
• Monitor and ensure data security compliance and best practices
• Log, track and update support tickets in the ticketing system
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement ITIL-based processes
• Deliver excellent customer service and explain technical information clearly to end users

Required profile

• 0-1 years of experience in IT support, technical support or a related role
• UAE national with legal authorization to work in the UAE
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Required skills

• Troubleshooting hardware and software
• Basic understanding of networks and Active Directory
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL basics
• Data security knowledge
• Preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Fundamentals, cloud services, virtualization, remote support tools and mobile device management
