About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a senior disputes lawyer to join a leading international organisation in a high‑impact leadership role based in Abu Dhabi. The role will shape dispute strategy, oversee complex arbitration and litigation matters, and drive performance across a global business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the disputes and alternative dispute resolution function, providing strategic oversight across UAE and international matters.
• Advise on high‑value, complex disputes, including international arbitration and cross‑border litigation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, delivering commercially focused legal guidance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of legal professionals, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in dispute resolution, gained within leading international law firms and/or in‑house environments.
• Significant leadership exposure with proven ability to manage large‑scale disputes.
• Experience in energy, oil and gas, or similarly complex, regulated industries is strongly preferred.
• Commercially minded, strategic, and capable of operating in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.
